In today's post I want to share an idea that I have been working on since I started selling collectibles online. I want to share a cheap (free) way to advertise your auctions or online web site.
I create Craig's List ads for items that I am also selling in my on line stores. Craig's List is an online site that offers forums, want ads, and some other features. You can place ads in most major American markets. Craig's List defines itself as a local community classifieds and forums - a place to find jobs, housing, goods & services, social activities, a girlfriend or boyfriend, advice, community information, and just about anything else -- all for free, and in a relatively non-commercial environment.

Click here to read the Craig's List fact sheet.
It can be used to supplement your online selling activities.
With a minimum of HTML you can create some very effective ads. And if you fulfill the needs of customers who find you through Craig's List, you may be able to keep them as customers or have them visit your other online stores.
You can direct buyers to your Yahoo auctions, eBay, iOffer or any other online items that you are selling.
Here are a couple of examples of ads that I have recently created.
Craig's List ad for USS Forrestal (CVA 59) Plankowners 1956 Diary Calendar Book - This ad is for a book that is from the military collectibles that I sell.
Craig's List ad for a Grand Theft Auto Video Game Strategy Guide - This is an ad for a video game guide that I sell.
I hope you find these examples that show how to use Craig's List to post ads for your online selling activities helpful.
